What are NSCLC?

NSCLC stands for non–small cell lung cancer. It is a type of lung cancer that begins in the tissues of the lung.

If you’ve been diagnosed with Squamous NSCLC:

Is a type of lung cancer that starts in the flat cells lining the airways, usually in the central part of the lungs. It is strongly associated with smoking and often causes symptoms earlier, such as persistent cough, chest pain, or coughing up blood, because it grows near the main breathing passages.

If you’ve been diagnosed with Non-Squamous NSCLC:

is a type of lung cancer that develops in the outer areas of the lungs and includes subtypes like adenocarcinoma. It is more common in non-smokers and often grows quietly, with mild or no symptoms in the early stages, which can make it harder to detect at first.
